Diagnosis and Notes

A typical member of the obsoletus group; it is said to be a large species rather like C. scoticus, but  the ninth sternite has a deep V-shaped emargination; the ninth sternite membrane is bare. There are macrotrichia in both the cubital and anal cells. The female SD is 3, 11-15; the AR is 1.05-1.3. Third segment of the palp is slightly swollen (PR 3.1) with a single sensory pit near the apex of the segment. There are two almost spherical spermathecae.

The figures are after Glukhova (1989).
